Unfortunately most ships with CCL haven't been the greatest. Whilst I understand the chefs have a lot of work to do; going from one venue to the next, they do not care about Crew Food or Health
From seeing my fellow crew members struggling to each healthy, they've had to purchase outside food products weekly just so they can get something decent to eat and whenever this is bought up with HR or Team Meetings, nothing seems to worked on or dine
We use to get 'Weekly' Menu Changes but the only change was one item which, again, didn't provide nutrition. As someone who try's to eat fresh and healthy its hard to eat something that's not fried or 'standard European'. Again, I understand Rice is Power but at the same time, the food needs to be looked into for crew because honestly after 9 years at sea it's no wonder why crew become ill or don't eat at all
I remember 20 years ago, the food on Carnival ships was pretty good. We used to have an omelet station for breakfast and a pasta station for lunch in the crew mess. Other items included tilapia, NY steak occasionally, and shrimp cocktail available upon request.
I guess things have changed since then.

Former Marella crew member, Derrick Crasto, has decided to speak out after what he describes as a deeply traumatic incident onboard, and what followed afterward may be just as disturbing.
After what he describes as a violent incident onboard Marella Explorer 2, former crew member Derrick Crasto says the most difficult part didn’t happen in the dining room that night it started once he left the ship.
Derrick, who worked as a Headwaiter, says he was assaulted during service, in front of...
Alright crew… let’s talk about the real struggle onboard that nobody puts in the recruitment videos: cabin roommates. 😅
After a long day at work, all you want is to go back to your cabin, watch a movie, listen to music, or just sleep. Easy, right? Not really—because most of us are sharing with a roommate… sometimes even two or three. And since everyone has different habits, personalities, and hygiene standards (lol), cabin life can get messy fast.
The worst part? You usually don’t get to...
