Just got this message from Princess about the new tattoo policy that kicked in April 2, 2026, and honestly, it’s going to affect a lot of us onboard. Looks like anything visible over 5x5 cm now has to be fully covered while on duty or in guest areas—even sleeves. Sharing the full message below… curious how everyone else feels about this change 👇

PRINCESS Cruises
A message to OUR TEAM
All Shipboard Teammates

Dear Teammates,

We'd like to share a friendly reminder that the updated Tattoo Policy under the Dress Code Policy (COL-008) takes effect today.

As mentioned in earlier communications, these changes reflect our commitment to maintaining our brand standards while also honoring the individuality of our teammates and the expectations of our diverse global guests.

What's Changing

Starting Thursday, April 2, 2026, all employees must ensure that any non-discrete visible tattoos exceeding 5x5 cm or falling outside company guidelines are completely covered while on duty or in guest areas. This includes multiple visible tattoos and sleeve tattoos

Approved coverage options include

  • Appropriate uniform options (e.g., long-sleeve uniforms where available and in line with Departmental Uniform policy)
  • Tattoo sleeve covers in neutral tone (black or white) or matching teammates' own skin color
  • Sleeve covers must be clean, plain, professional in appearance, and worn solely to cover tattoos.

  • Industry Alignment-Aligning with Carnival Corporation standards while preserving Princess brand nuances
