So Norwegian Cruise Line rolls out a “new” restaurant dress code and suddenly it’s controversial?

Let’s be honest, this isn’t a fashion dictatorship. They’re not asking for tuxedos and ball gowns. They’re asking for shirts, footwear, respectful graphics, and “appropriate coverage” in a dining venue.

In other words… basic public decency.

Some guests seem offended by the idea that swimwear doesn’t belong in a restaurant. Or that extremely short shorts might not be ideal next to someone trying to enjoy a steak dinner. But here’s the thing: a cruise ship isn’t your backyard barbecue. It’s a shared space with thousands of people from different cultures, age groups, and expectations.

Freedom of style? Absolutely.
But freedom doesn’t mean zero standards.
