We received a letter from a crew member aboard the Costa Fascinosa who wishes to remain anonymous, raising concerns about the treatment of cabin attendants and the handling of incentive payments onboard. The crew member siad several workers approached the HR office seeking clarification on why their monthly incentives have been repeatedly reduced, but their inquiries were reportedly met with shifting explanations, blame placed on shore-side systems, or references to fluctuating occupancy and NPS scores. The crew member alleges that certain supervisors have been targeting staff since they questioned these discrepancies, leaving the team feeling discouraged while facing declining income.
Here is the crew letter:
I have been a faithful employee in Costa Cruises for many years and it has been a fantastic journey until now so far but now me and my colleagues all of us are facing a big problem which threatens to disrupt my and my colleagues peaceful time in the company at present.
I'm Cabin Attendent working on Costa Fascinosa, I would like to bring up to your attention a serious issue which we are facing. Our housekeeping management team is targeting us all Cabin Attendents because we all Cabin Staff went to HR Manager office to report as well as to ask why our incentive are getting lesser and lesser every month.
To bring up to your attention we also asked our Manager regarding this many times but in reply we use to receive excuses or blaming shore side error and we are in touch in with this issue and we will follow up bit at the end no result from his side.
Second excuse is always targeting the occupancy was low or the NPS ( Net Promote Score) was low and vise versa.
If the occupancy is high they he use to say NPS is low and if NPS is high then he use to say less occupancy which was totally not true. The Housekeeping department always achieved the target specially Cabin's..
We are totally disappointed and disturbed. We cannot focus on our work when we look at our salary. Last month was the hight, less then we ever recieved. We need to support our family being so far. Our Management is not showing any concerns regarding this issue. Please we need help in this situation..please do look upon this matter on a serious note
