OPEN LETTER TO ROYAL CARIBBEAN CRUISE

Hello, I am the wife of one of your employees under one of your ships—I will no longer mention his position or which ship he is currently onboard. I am writing this letter on this page, CREW MATTER, not only because of the deceit I am experiencing from my husband, but also for other wives who are going through the same betrayal from our spouses.

I hope this reaches Mr. Michael Bayley. We thought your company does not tolerate infidelity, yet why do you allow employees who have families left in the Philippines to stay in couple cabins? Before approving such arrangements, you should double-check documents to confirm whether they are legit or fake. On your end, you can see in your system that both the man and the woman are already married, yet why are they allowed once they board the ship?

Many families are being destroyed because of employees pretending to be single even though they already have a spouse and children in the Philippines. We, the wives, suffer from severe depression, stress, and anxiety because of this. Especially the children who are left behind, while their fathers choose to be with someone who also has kids of her own.

I also hope RCCL addresses your internet service for your crew who work so hard. Yes, we understand—and the crew understands—that they need to buy internet, but why can’t you just increase the free internet hours? Instead of only 2 hours per week, you could make it 3 hours per day. This would help lessen the loneliness of your crew and perhaps even reduce the chances of them engaging in affairs onboard.

Please do help us to reach the CEO of the Comp

I can relate to you because I've been in your position.

However, while the profound distress caused by marital infidelity, particularly when children are involved, is deeply regrettable, the responsibility for breaking sacred vows rests entirely with the unfaithful individual.

It is unreasonable to expect Royal Caribbean, or any employer, to perform exhaustive background checks on employees' personal lives or verify the authenticity of marriage certificates when issuing cabin assignments. I don't think its fair to blame the company for the personal disciplinary failures of its adult employees, who are fully aware of their marital commitments and familial responsibilities at home.

While the shipboard setting may provide unique opportunities, there are countless married crew members onboard, who successfully choose to remain faithful, demonstrating that devotion to one's vows is always a personal, conscious decision. The consequences felt by the individual who chooses to stray and, unfortunately, their innocent spouse and children.

I fully comprehend your point of view. It's a difficult experience when adultery enters a marriage. However, blaming an employer, whether it's a cruise line or a land-based company, is not where the accountability resides. We as adults make decisions that have repercussions, regardless of the work environment.

I pray for you and your children as you face such pain. May you continue to find peace and strength, and may your spouse gain wisdom before it's too late. Sorry for the lengthy read...

In behalf of my colleague:

" I totally agree with you and your statement. I think you are right. Why?
So many man are taking off their rings once they are onboard, so they are hiding their true side. Onboard, they are getting exausted from job but should wife in her country get exausted of her life and to cheat, in front of her children? Cruise companies especially Princess on which I am, is so carelless towards not just wifes but female partners of male crew. I tried to get connected to my partner and company denied from such a stupid, uselles reason. We splitted up as he choose to be with other women, women who are prostitudes in their countries.

I also need to name Y.S. from Shorex on Princess. Ukrainian guy. This man is chasing women onboard and he is manipulating with each and every of them every contract. People are talking about him as they can see him every contract hand in hand with another women every time. Imagine these women with their boyfriends in India, Philipines, Ukraine, Thailand, Italy, Chile, South Africa... His excuse: it is a choice and what happens onboard stays onboard. I am glad I can inform you on this predator as he broke many hearts of women and used them, and stupid Princess is protecting him just because he is careless with his behaviour.
That is example of 21 century man. I know this guy and even saw his pictures online as these women made pictures of him and posted online. PREDATOR WHO SHOULD LOSE HIS JOB AND GO BACK TO UKRAINE!"
